Naomi lost her husband and sons in Moab and decided to return to Bethlehem. She urged her daughters-in-law to remain, but Ruth chose to accompany her, embrace her people, and trust her God. The two widows arrived with little except grief, loyalty, and the beginning of barley harvest.

The Bible Adventure

Naomi lost her husband and sons in Moab and decided to return to Bethlehem. She urged her daughters-in-law to remain, but Ruth chose to accompany her, embrace her people, and trust her God. The two widows arrived with little except grief, loyalty, and the beginning of barley harvest.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that faithful love stays present through grief, migration, and uncertainty. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.

This is not a distant tale or a moral slogan. It belongs to the one saving story that prepares for Jesus Christ. We receive the passage with reverence, ask what it reveals about God, and allow it to correct fear, pride, selfishness, or unbelief in our own lives.
