Elijah announced to King Ahab that drought would come because Israel had turned toward Baal. God then sent the prophet east of the Jordan to the Brook Cherith. Elijah drank from the brook, and ravens brought him bread and meat morning and evening. When the brook finally dried, God already had another step prepared.

إيليا أعلن للملك آخاب إن هييجي جفاف لأن إسرائيل مال لعبادة البعل. بعد كده ربنا بعته ناحية شرق الأردن عند نهر كريث. إيليا شرب من النهر والغربان كانت بتجيب له خبز ولحم الصبح وبالليل. ولما النهر نشف، كان ربنا مجهز الخطوة اللي بعدها.

The Bible Adventure

Read the passage slowly and follow the setting, conflict, response, and outcome. Notice how the account teaches that God can sustain an obedient servant through unexpected means. God acts within real human history: He confronts idolatry and injustice, preserves life, receives repentance, forms servants, and keeps covenant even when His people are weak.
