Suggested 45–60 minute lesson flow

1. Welcome and prayer (5 minutes): settle the class and name the lesson’s one clear objective.
2. Bible encounter (10 minutes): introduce the setting and read the selected verses from Scripture.
3. Story and discovery (10–15 minutes): tell the story interactively and invite children to observe the text.
4. Orthodox connection (8–10 minutes): link the passage to Christ, the Church, worship, or Christian life with theological care.
5. Activity and discussion (10–15 minutes): choose one purposeful activity rather than filling time.
6. Response and prayer (5 minutes): review the memory verse and pray in language children understand.

Preparation and safeguarding

• Read the entire Bible passage and the source notes before teaching.
• Do not present imaginative dialogue or cultural background as if it were Scripture.
• Plan for different reading levels, disability access, language confidence, and attention needs.
• Follow your church’s child-safety procedures, two-adult practices, photography rules, and reporting pathways.
• Refer sensitive pastoral or theological questions to the responsible priest or ministry leader.
