Jealous officials could find no corruption in Daniel, so they persuaded King Darius to forbid prayer to anyone except the king. Daniel continued praying openly three times a day. Though the king regretted the trap, Daniel was placed in the lions’ den. God sent an angel and kept him safe. At dawn Daniel emerged unharmed and the king honoured the living God.

The Bible Adventure
