Introduction | مقدمة

At twelve, Jesus travelled with Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem for Passover. On the return journey they discovered He was missing and found Him in the temple among teachers. Jesus listened and asked questions, and everyone marvelled. He explained that He must be about His Father’s business, then returned to Nazareth and remained obedient as He grew in wisdom and stature.

وهو عنده ١٢ سنة، يسوع سافر مع مريم ويوسف لأورشليم في الفصح. في الرجوع اكتشفوا إنه مش معاهم ولقوه في الهيكل وسط المعلمين. كان بيسمع ويسأل والكل اتعجب. شرح إنه لازم يكون في ما لأبيه، وبعدها رجع الناصرة وفضل خاضع وهو بيكبر في الحكمة والقامة.

The Bible Adventure

At twelve, Jesus travelled with Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem for Passover. On the return journey they discovered He was missing and found Him in the temple among teachers. Jesus listened and asked questions, and everyone marvelled. He explained that He must be about His Father’s business, then returned to Nazareth and remained obedient as He grew in wisdom and stature.

Read the passage slowly and follow the setting, conflict, response, and outcome. Notice how it teaches that the incarnate Son grows in a real human family while remaining devoted to His Father’s saving work. God acts in real history: He reveals His Son, confronts evil, welcomes outsiders, heals bodies and souls, forms disciples, and calls people into repentance and love.

This episode belongs to the one saving story fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Receive it with reverence, without inventing missing details, and ask how it corrects fear, pride, indifference, greed, or unbelief in our own lives.
