An angel warned Joseph that Herod would seek the Child’s life. Joseph rose at night, took Mary and Jesus, and fled to Egypt. Herod’s violent order brought grief to Bethlehem’s families. After Herod died, Joseph returned and settled in Nazareth. The Holy Family’s journey makes the Saviour close to refugees, displaced children, and families seeking safety.
