Moses gathered Israel to remember God’s acts, renew the covenant, choose life, and love the Lord with heart and soul. He told the people that God’s command was near, appointed Joshua before them, and encouraged both nation and leader because the Lord would go ahead.

The Bible Adventure

Moses gathered Israel to remember God’s acts, renew the covenant, choose life, and love the Lord with heart and soul. He told the people that God’s command was near, appointed Joshua before them, and encouraged both nation and leader because the Lord would go ahead.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that remembered grace strengthens covenant faithfulness and courage for the future. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.
