Season 12 — The Birth of Christ

Episode 135 of 163. At twelve, Jesus travelled with Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem for Passover. On the return journey they discovered He was missing and found Him in the temple among teachers. Jesus listened and asked questions, and everyone marvelled. He explained that He must be about His Father’s business, then returned to Nazareth and remained obedient as He grew in wisdom and stature. وهو عنده ١٢ سنة، يسوع سافر مع مريم ويوسف لأورشليم في الفصح. في الرجوع اكتشفوا إنه مش معاهم ولقوه في الهيكل وسط المعلمين. كان بيسمع ويسأل والكل اتعجب. شرح إنه لازم يكون في ما لأبيه، وبعدها رجع الناصرة وفضل خاضع وهو بيكبر في الحكمة والقامة.

Episode 134 of 163. An angel warned Joseph that Herod would seek the Child’s life. Joseph rose at night, took Mary and Jesus, and fled to Egypt. Herod’s violent order brought grief to Bethlehem’s families. After Herod died, Joseph returned and settled in Nazareth. The Holy Family’s journey makes the Saviour close to refugees, displaced children, and families seeking safety. ملاك حذر يوسف إن هيرودس هيدور على الطفل علشان يقتله. يوسف قام بالليل وأخذ مريم ويسوع وهربوا لمصر. أمر هيرودس العنيف جاب حزن لبيوت بيت لحم. بعد موت هيرودس رجع يوسف وسكن في الناصرة. رحلة العيلة المقدسة بتخلي المخلص قريب من اللاجئين والأطفال المهجرين والعائلات اللي بتدور على أمان.

Episode 133 of 163. Magi from the East arrived in Jerusalem asking for the newborn King. Herod was troubled, and the city with him. Scripture scholars pointed to Bethlehem. The star led the Magi to the Child; they fell down, worshipped, and offered gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Warned in a dream, they returned home by another way and did not serve Herod’s plot. مجوس من المشرق وصلوا أورشليم بيسألوا عن الملك المولود. هيرودس اتضايق والمدينة معاه. الكتبة أشاروا لبيت لحم. النجم قاد المجوس للطفل، فسجدوا وقدموا دهب ولبان ومر. بعد تحذير في حلم رجعوا بلدهم من طريق تاني وما خدموش خطة هيرودس.

Episode 132 of 163. Shepherds were watching their flocks at night when an angel appeared and God’s glory shone around them. The angel announced great joy: a Saviour, Christ the Lord, had been born. A multitude of angels praised God. The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem, saw the Child, told others, and returned glorifying God for what they had heard and seen. رعاة كانوا سهرانين على الغنم بالليل، وفجأة ملاك ظهر ومجد ربنا نور حواليهم. الملاك أعلن فرح عظيم: اتولد مخلص هو المسيح الرب. جوق من الملايكة سبح ربنا. الرعاة جريوا بيت لحم وشافوا الطفل وحكوا ورجعوا بيمجدوا ربنا.

Episode 131 of 163. A decree brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her firstborn Son, wrapped Him, and laid Him in a manger because there was no room in the guest space. The quiet birth joined heaven and earth: the One who made all things came as a real infant to save His people. مرسوم خلّى يوسف ومريم يروحوا بيت لحم. وهما هناك مريم ولدت ابنها البكر ولفته وحطته في مذود لأن ما كانش فيه مكان في موضع الضيوف. الميلاد الهادي جمع السما والأرض: اللي خلق كل حاجة جه طفل حقيقي علشان يخلص شعبه.

Episode 130 of 163. Joseph discovered that Mary was pregnant before they lived together. Being righteous and unwilling to shame her, he planned to end the betrothal quietly. In a dream an angel called him son of David, explained the Holy Spirit’s work, and told him to take Mary as his wife. Joseph woke and obeyed, giving the child the name Jesus. يوسف عرف إن مريم حبلى قبل ما يعيشوا مع بعض. لأنه بار ومش عايز يفضحها، فكر ينهي الخطوبة بهدوء. في حلم ملاك ناداه يا ابن داود وشرح عمل الروح القدس وقال له ياخد مريم مراته. يوسف قام ونفذ وأعطى الطفل اسم يسوع.

Episode 129 of 163. Elizabeth gave birth, and neighbours rejoiced. At the naming ceremony Zacharias wrote, ‘His name is John,’ and his speech returned. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he praised God for visiting and redeeming His people and spoke of his son as the prophet who would go before the Lord. John grew and became strong in spirit. أليصابات ولدت والناس حوالين البيت فرحوا. وقت التسمية زكريا كتب «اسمه يوحنا» فرجع له الكلام. اتملى من الروح القدس وسبح ربنا اللي افتقد شعبه وصنع فداء، وقال إن ابنه هيبقى نبي يمشي قدام الرب. يوحنا كبر وتقوى بالروح.

Episode 128 of 163. Mary hurried to the hill country and greeted Elizabeth. John leapt in Elizabeth’s womb, and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth blessed Mary and the fruit of her womb. Mary answered with the Magnificat, praising God who looks on the lowly, lifts the humble, feeds the hungry, and keeps His covenant mercy. مريم راحت بسرعة لبلاد الجبال وسلمت على أليصابات. يوحنا نط في بطن أمه وهي اتمـلت من الروح القدس. أليصابات باركت مريم وثمرة بطنها. مريم ردت بتسبحة عظمت فيها ربنا اللي بيبص للمتضعين ويرفع المتواضعين ويشبع الجعانين ويفتكر رحمته.

Episode 127 of 163. Gabriel came to Nazareth and greeted Mary as highly favoured. He announced that she would conceive Jesus, the Son of the Highest, by the Holy Spirit. Mary asked how this could be, listened to the answer, and freely said she was the Lord’s maidservant. The eternal Word took flesh in her, beginning the mystery of the Incarnation. جبرائيل جه الناصرة وسلم على مريم كمن نالت نعمة. أعلن لها إنها هتحبل بيسوع ابن العلي بالروح القدس. مريم سألت إزاي ده يحصل وسمعت الإجابة وقالت بحرية إنها أمة الرب. الكلمة الأزلي أخد جسد منها، وبدأ سر التجسد.

Episode 126 of 163. Zacharias and Elizabeth were righteous yet carried the pain of childlessness. While Zacharias served in the temple, the angel Gabriel announced that their prayer had been heard and that John would be born to prepare people for the Lord. Zacharias struggled to believe, received a temporary sign, and later praised God when the promise came true. زكريا وأليصابات كانوا أبرار لكن شايلين وجع عدم وجود أولاد. وهو بيخدم في الهيكل، الملاك جبرائيل أعلن إن صلاتهم اتسمعت وإن يوحنا هيتولد يجهز الناس للرب. زكريا اتردد في الإيمان وأخد علامة مؤقتة، وبعدها مجد ربنا لما الوعد اتحقق.
