Introduction | مقدمة

The people gathered as one in the square and asked Ezra to bring the Book of the Law. From morning until midday he read while Levites explained the meaning. The listeners wept when they understood, but the leaders told them to celebrate, share food with those unprepared, and remember that the joy of the Lord was their strength. They then kept the feast together.

الشعب اتجمع كإنسان واحد في الساحة وطلب من عزرا يجيب سفر الشريعة. من الصبح للظهر قرا، واللاويين شرحوا المعنى. الناس بكوا لما فهموا، لكن القادة قالوا لهم يفرحوا ويشاركوا الأكل مع اللي مش مجهز ويفتكروا إن فرح الرب قوتهم. وبعدها عيدوا مع بعض.

The Bible Adventure

They then kept the feast together.

Read the passage slowly and follow the setting, conflict, response, and outcome. Notice how the account teaches that God’s word is read clearly, understood together, and answered with joyful obedience. God acts within real human history: He confronts idolatry and injustice, preserves life, receives repentance, forms servants, and keeps covenant even when His people are weak.
