Introduction | مقدمة

After Israel rejected the promised land, Moses interceded by appealing to God’s mercy and reputation among the nations. The Lord forgave yet declared that the unbelieving generation would wander until a new generation was ready. A later attempt to enter without God’s command failed.

The Bible Adventure

After Israel rejected the promised land, Moses interceded by appealing to God’s mercy and reputation among the nations. The Lord forgave yet declared that the unbelieving generation would wander until a new generation was ready. A later attempt to enter without God’s command failed.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that unbelief has consequences, yet God preserves a future and forms a new generation. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.

This is not a distant tale or a moral slogan. It belongs to the one saving story that prepares for Jesus Christ. We receive the passage with reverence, ask what it reveals about God, and allow it to correct fear, pride, selfishness, or unbelief in our own lives.

Forgiveness removes condemnation but does not always erase temporal consequences. God uses the wilderness as a school of dependence, repentance, and hope.
