Daniel resolved not to defile himself, yet he spoke respectfully and proposed a ten-day test with vegetables and water. God granted favour, health, knowledge, and wisdom, and the four young men remained faithful while learning in a foreign court.

دانيال وحننيا وميشائيل وعزريا اتدربوا للخدمة في بابل وأخدوا أسامي جديدة وأكل من الملك. دانيال حط في قلبه ما يتنجسش، لكنه اتكلم باحترام واقترح اختبار عشرة أيام بالبقول والمياه. ربنا ادالهم نعمة وصحة ومعرفة وحكمة، وفضل الأربعة أمناء وهما بيتعلموا في قصر غريب.
