Abraham’s servant travelled to find a wife for Isaac among the wider family. He prayed for guidance, and Rebekah’s generous service at the well revealed her character. Her family heard the account, Rebekah freely agreed to go, and Isaac received her with love and comfort after grief.

The Bible Adventure

Abraham’s servant travelled to find a wife for Isaac among the wider family. He prayed for guidance, and Rebekah’s generous service at the well revealed her character. Her family heard the account, Rebekah freely agreed to go, and Isaac received her with love and comfort after grief.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that prayerful guidance, character, and free response shape a faithful marriage. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.
