Across the lake Jesus met a man living among tombs, isolated, injured, and tormented by many demons. Jesus commanded the unclean spirits to leave, and the man was later seen clothed and in his right mind. The local people were afraid, but Jesus sent the healed man home to tell his friends what the Lord had done.

The Bible Adventure

Jesus commanded the unclean spirits to leave, and the man was later seen clothed and in his right mind. The local people were afraid, but Jesus sent the healed man home to tell his friends what the Lord had done.
Read the passage slowly and follow the setting, conflict, response, and outcome. Notice how it teaches that Jesus restores a tormented person to dignity, community, and a truthful witness. God acts in real history: He reveals His Son, confronts evil, welcomes outsiders, heals bodies and souls, forms disciples, and calls people into repentance and love.
