Cyrus of Persia issued a decree allowing the exiles to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. Families volunteered, neighbours supplied gifts, and the sacred vessels were restored. Back in the land, the people rebuilt the altar and kept the Feast of Tabernacles. When the temple foundation was laid, young people shouted for joy while elders wept at remembered loss.

The Bible Adventure
