After serious wrongs in David’s family were neglected, Absalom cultivated popularity and stole the people’s loyalty. He declared himself king, forcing David to leave Jerusalem. David trusted God, restrained loyal friends from revenge, and grieved deeply when Absalom died, even though the rebellion ended.

The Bible Adventure
After serious wrongs in David’s family were neglected, Absalom cultivated popularity and stole the people’s loyalty. He declared himself king, forcing David to leave Jerusalem.
