A decree brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her firstborn Son, wrapped Him, and laid Him in a manger because there was no room in the guest space. The quiet birth joined heaven and earth: the One who made all things came as a real infant to save His people.

The Bible Adventure

The quiet birth joined heaven and earth: the One who made all things came as a real infant to save His people.
Read the passage slowly and follow the setting, conflict, response, and outcome. Notice how it teaches that the eternal Saviour enters human poverty to bring God’s peace and presence. God acts in real history: He reveals His Son, confronts evil, welcomes outsiders, heals bodies and souls, forms disciples, and calls people into repentance and love.
