An angel announced Samson’s birth and lifelong Nazirite calling before he was born. The Spirit empowered him to begin delivering Israel from Philistine rule. Yet Samson often followed anger and appetite, mixing genuine vocation with reckless choices that brought conflict and pain.

The Bible Adventure

An angel announced Samson’s birth and lifelong Nazirite calling before he was born. The Spirit empowered him to begin delivering Israel from Philistine rule. Yet Samson often followed anger and appetite, mixing genuine vocation with reckless choices that brought conflict and pain.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that gifts are a calling to holy service, not permission for pride. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.
