Introduction | مقدمة

Gideon was hiding grain when the angel called him a mighty man of valour. God patiently answered his fears, tore down his father’s idol through him, and reduced Israel’s army to three hundred. With trumpets, jars, and torches, the small company surrounded Midian’s camp, and God caused the enemy to scatter.

The Bible Adventure

Gideon was hiding grain when the angel called him a mighty man of valour. God patiently answered his fears, tore down his father’s idol through him, and reduced Israel’s army to three hundred. With trumpets, jars, and torches, the small company surrounded Midian’s camp, and God caused the enemy to scatter.

Read the passage slowly and notice the people’s words, choices, and consequences. The account teaches that God works through weakness so nobody can boast in human power. God works truthfully within human history: He confronts evil, protects life, keeps covenant, and patiently calls people to trust and obedience.

This is not a distant tale or a moral slogan. It belongs to the one saving story that prepares for Jesus Christ. We receive the passage with reverence, ask what it reveals about God, and allow it to correct fear, pride, selfishness, or unbelief in our own lives.
